Above - This hand crafted Norwegian 3 legged chair is a copy of the chair the artist's grandfarther, Tobias Benson built in 1910 while working at Stoughton Wagon Works, Stoughton, WI. This chair is made of solid Pennsylvania cherry but are also available in oak depending on what the customer desires. This chair is number 38 and all of the chairs are numbered original handcrafted pieces of heirloom quality.The embellishment on the legs and front of the cherry chair are hand turned spalted maple buttons.

The chairs can be painted and rosemahled as the one below represents. The Rosemahling artist is Dona Fischer who has been rosemahling for 35 years and paints in several styles. The writing on the back of the chair reads: "Rest your two legs on my three legs" in Norwegian.

The chairs in these photos are available for immediate delivery but Art Galleries Etc...can get custom chair built for you as well. The artists will custom build your desired chair on oak, cherry and the rosemahling on painted chairs can be in other colors and rosemahling styles than the one depicted below.
